Pre-school water safety courses
A watery world of fun and life saving water skills teaching our little people to love the water
Our infant aquatics programme is essentially a water safety course, teaching our children to be 'prepared' if they were to have an accident near the water. Our lessons are taught in a 'fun' style, using nursery rhymes and games teaching our children basic water safety through play. We are linked to the ASA National Plan, naturally progressing our pupils through this fun, water awareness, Duckling pre-school stage.
Ducklings
This stage takes little people from the initial introduction to the water through to achieving aquatic independence. The main emphasis is placed on developing water confidence whilst working with accompanying adults.
Fun and enjoyment are critical at any stage of learning to swim but particularly critical at this stage.
The 5 stages of learning to swim are progressive taking our children from their first dip to independently swimming 5 metres. See Duckling Awards
